Have you ever felt like your games have not offered enough story? They constantly feel like you are doing the same things repeatedly? Well, as a chronic gamer, I am here to help. Allow me to introduce you to one of Rockstar Game’s most famous titles: “Red Dead Redemption 2.”
Now, I could go on and on about how stunning the graphics of this game are–they are immaculate, by the way–but that is not the point of this article. The purpose of this article is to tell you why I think you should play this immaculate masterpiece.
Let me give you a little bit of a story to this game to start off: you play as Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. You and your gang are trying to adapt to the American West after having to leave Blackwater due to a massacre, and all of you are wanted dead or alive. You then navigate through the rest of the game on your own: completing various missions and side quests and making decisions on your own that affect how the rest of the game will be played. Your decisions are crucial in this game. It almost feels like you are Arthur Morgan with how immersive the gameplay is.
It is an open world game, with the map stretching 29 square miles, or 75 square kilometers. The map is huge, which sparks adventure, which means that there is always something for players to do. You can do various tasks such as hunting, fishing and many various side missions from NPCs in the game. You do not have to play this game in any specific way–you can play at your own pace.
One last reason I will list as to why you should play this game is that it has so much detail. Players to this day are still finding secrets and various other things that they never noticed on their first playthrough. There is always something cool to find in this game.
If you are not sure if you have a console that this game can be played on, it is available on PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One, PC (Windows), PlayStation 5 (PS5), which utilizes backwards compatibility and Xbox Series X/S.
And, as the title of my article states, it does have horses.
