A very lovely house in the market, brand new to be exact. It was purchased by a very nice rich family. Two doors in the kitchen, glass sliding doors were in love with each other, but could not say it to one another because they were too scared if one didn’t like them back. Worried that if one didn’t like them back that it would be awkward and would still have to stay together non the less because they’re doors and could not move even if they wanted to.
They started to talk to each other more, to see if they noticed if they loved each other. This is something different, two objects in love. Every day, they grew closer. Shared laughs, little flirts, etc. The door on the left finally opened his heart to the one on the right. She told him instantly that she had the same feelings, which everything was all happy and dandy. They were so in love that even if they were open for too long of a period, they would start to get very sad. No matter what, no matter what would separate them temporarily, they knew that they would always be together.
There was one day where everything changed. There was a really bad thunderstorm which caused a tornado warning. Everyone in the house ran to the basement with food, water, and the radio. They left the two doors. The doors were very scared but as long as they have each other, nothing will pull them apart. They’re inanimate objects. They’re glass doors. Nothing will separate them in death, right?
Wrong.
Everything was very much not okay.
The storm got so bad that there was a tornado about five miles away, coming towards the house as fast as possible. The whole house was shaking. When the tornado got closer and closer, the two doors closed their eyes, holding each other tightly until suddenly, everything stopped. Everything was fine. They were both relieved. Well, for a split moment. A tree smashed right into the left door, shattering her immediately.
Stunned, the right door looked at her remains spread on the floor.
No, she couldn’t be dead, she’s a door! He thought to himself.
He expressed his feelings to her the other day, they were in love. Two objects were in love, something that could not happen. They defied the laws of inanimate objects being in love and now, she was shattered right in front of him. He looked at the tree, still trying to process what just happened in front of him.
I loved her so much, and she loved me. What can I do without her? Now this house is imperfected without the other door.
The storm wasn’t over yet. Now that he was alone, he didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t move either, he was just there until he heard something. He heard something breaking, which he looked up. Another tree landed on the house and it started crashing down. It landed right on him, shattering him completely as well, right next to her on the floor. They died together with the storm.
When the storm lifted, the family went up to see the damage. They got everything replaced, including the two doors that were in love. Everything of their love was erased. The only ones who knew they were in love were only them because they were the only objects in the house who were alive and had feelings for one another until the tragedy. At least they knew they loved one another before they were demolished by trees during the thunderstorm.
