Stardew Valley is my favorite game, and the joy and excitement I felt when I heard about the upcoming update were unbelievable. There are going to be so many cool things happening in this update. And then…there is Clint.  

Let me talk about the first big thing to be introduced in this update. Two new marriage candidates have been revealed for this update: Sandy… and Clint. Clint is one of the most disliked characters in Stardew Valley, and fans were outraged when they discovered that he could become romanceable. The fans were speculating that the new marriage candidates would be Sandy and the Wizard. But looking on the bright side, we can now marry Sandy.  

The next thing being revealed with this update is that the children you have with your marriage partner will be more interactive. Children you have with your spouse in Stardew are not very interactive. You can interact with them by tossing them up and down to play with them when they are a baby, along with a hilarious chance to toss them high enough that they go through the roof of your house. Other than that, they either crawl or walk around your house, and that is about it. With this update, it has been said that your children will have new routines, more interactions and even personality elements.  

Also coming up with this update is a new farm type. This has been a tradition in Stardew Valley since it started releasing major updates. When a major update comes out, so does a new farm type. There have not been any major details regarding the type of farm we will be getting with this update, but it will definitely be worth the wait to find out. This farm could even encourage players to adopt new farming strategies.  

Another thing I saw coming to this update is a potential farm map editor. This would make it possible to create new custom farm layouts and even share them! It is not a guaranteed feature, but I sure hope it is! This would increase creativity in farm decoration and farming efficiency, and this could also expand the player range.  

The last thing coming with this update is new social elements and character enhancements. This could mean new heart events, new dialogue and even new reactions with NPCs.  

There will be more to come with this update, but those details have been kept secret to keep players’ anticipation bubbling. There is no official release date for this update yet, as it is still in development. This update has promised to be a major expansion across several aspects of the game, and I cannot wait to see what ConcernedApe and his team come up with!
