The Lake Land College (LLC) men’s baseball team earned an impressive win on March 14 against Wabash College. Freshmen Logan Nagle and Jimmy Downs led the offense with three runs each, as the Lakers finished with 17 total runs.
Nagle also led the team with four hits, followed by Sharif Colon with three, contributing to one of the team’s strongest offensive performances this season. Nagle and Bryce Beyers led in RBIs, with four and three, respectively. The Lakers improved to 24-9 overall and 9-3 in conference play.
On the mound, pitchers Lucas Bixby and Martin Villagomez recorded four and five strikeouts, respectively. Defensively, the Lakers turned multiple double plays, with key contributions from Eddie Letamendi, Bryce Beyers and Madden Johnson. The win came a day after a 14-4 loss at Wabash College, marking a strong rebound performance. Their comeback highlighted the remarkable strength and determination of the athletes at Lake Land College, backed by their strong stats and performances.
