There were two COVID-19 vaccination clinics held in the foundation and alumni center on October 1 and October 22. All three vaccines, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson and Johnson were offered. These included first and second doses, as well as booster shots.

While the event was mostly intended to Lake Land students and staff, it was open to the public and it seems that several community members were reached. Altogether, the two days resulted in around 40 people receiving vaccinations.

The event was organized by HRSupport, a California company that contracts with the Illinois Department of Health. Site manager, Jesus Gonzalez, said of the clinic, “I am very pleased that a lot of people came to get their second shot, as well as booster shots. We also had a good amount come in for their first dose. We didn’t waste any medicine, so both days were a success!”
