SAB plans in person events for the fall

Samantha Stokes, Copy Editor

The Lake Land College Student Activity Board is planning to get back into the face-to-face spirit for the fall semester! They are starting out with their annual Welcome Day on Aug. 25 at the Field House on the college campus. Welcome Day is a free event for new or returning students to learn about more ways to get involved with college life. The event includes free food, LLC merch, fun activities such as music and inflatables and opportunities to learn about student activities and clubs. This will be an especially fun Welcome Day since we haven’t got to meet our classmates or staff for the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic! Coming out to Welcome Day will be a great way to get yourself acquainted with the campus, staff and students!

If you are interested in helping with this year’s Welcome Day, you might be interested in joining the SAB! Members of the SAB meet weekly to plan weekly fun free events and activities for students to help them relax and meet more students. There are currently 10 positions open so be sure to check out the SAB application found on the college’s website and under the Laker Point Online course on Canvas!
