During Oct., the Student Government Association (SGA) focused on how best to address other students’ concerns.
One of the highlights was the discussion surrounding the Student Insight E-Box’s first submission. The student, who chose to remain anonymous, expressed an issue with the quality of the feminine hygiene products in the bathrooms. In response, discussions have taken place between SGA and those in charge of purchasing said products, with tentative talks of changes in the years to follow.
They are also focused on promoting numerous fundraisers across campus. The Broadcasting Club is hosting their yearly food drive, which, given the state of Federal Assistance, is more important than ever. Donation boxes can be found in the Luther Student Center, the Northwest Building, the Library, and the West Building. Anyone and everyone is welcome to donate nonperishables. This fundraiser is active until Nov. 30th. The Food Pantry, however, accepts donations year-round.
The SGA was also present at the Transfer Expo, the Inner Club Council and Club or Treat, all of which were resounding successes. For the lattermost, they gave out treats and dressed up as Dalmatians, referencing the Disney Film “101 Dalmatians”. On Nov. 12th, they plan to tackle the Blood Drive yet again and hope for even more participation than before.
Even more activities are planned, however, so stay tuned for more!
