On Wednesday, October 29th, the Student Activity Board here at Lake Land College (LLC) held its annual Club –or-Treat, which is always a hit with students and staff.
Various clubs and organizations set up tables at Laker Point, located in the Luther Student Center, to introduce themselves to fellow students and encourage anyone interested to join their prospective clubs. Students were able to walk around and play fun games and get festive treats. During this time, pumpkins were also available to paint.
Students were able to enter the annual costume contest, featuring three categories: unique, funny, and scary. With many wonderful entries, judges were eventually able to narrow the winners down.
For “best scary costume”, the “Silent Hill Nurse” won first place, sporting quite the interesting hyper realistic mask. Next, a student dressed as the infamous “Tiger King” won “best funny costume,” somehow having escaped from his prison cell in Texas.
Finally, “Sally from ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’” won “best unique costume” and “best overall costume”. It seems Sally managed to break away from saving Santa so she could win LLC’s costume contest.
Students proved yet again to be very creative with their costumes this year. Congratulations to the winners and good luck to all for next year’s contest!
