“You” season four is finally coming out! Part one is airing on Netflix on Feb. 9. Part two is airing Mar. 9. The reason why it is airing in two parts, remains unknown. But it is a scary aspect. “You” originally aired on Netflix in 2018 and was made after the book by Caroline Kepnes. It stars Penn Badgley as Joe, the sociopathic, possibly psychopathic nice guy that finds a crush and goes literally crazy over them. “You” also stars Elizabeth Lail as Guinevere Beck, Victoria Pedretti as Love Quinn, and Tati Gabrielle as Marienne Bellamy. All of the names listed are all women that Joe goes after during the three-season duration.

Joe is shown, in the beginning, to be a manager of sorts at a bookstore in New York City and this is where he meets his first “You” Guinevere Beck or just Beck as she calls herself. The season progresses as Beck and Joe begin to explore a relationship with each other all the while Joe is viewing Beck as an end all be all where he would do anything for her. He’s willing to kill for her and actually starts out by stalking her for the duration of the first episode and then they meet again while Beck is unaware that she is being stalked by Joe. Joe just progressively gets more and more stalker-ish and murderous throughout the period of him getting to know Beck. So basically, in the first season it is getting to know Joe and all of his relationships that end in tragedy.

In the second season, Joe is more known to the watchers, and so the second season is about getting to know Joe’s past and therefore the viewer is introduced to one of his exes that had been thought to be dead, but spoiler alert, shows up at the end of the first season. The second season also shows Joe in Los Angeles, California and him with a new love interest named Love Quinn. The second season shows their relationship develop and then leads into the third season after some things are found out about Love that makes Joe love her more. The second season also shows two new characters that grow closer to Joe, Delilah and Ellie, Ellie played by Jenna Ortega and Delilah played by Carmela Zumbado. These characters are mainly side characters but are shown as a way of character development for Joe.

The third season shows the relationship between Joe and Love develop as they, spoiler alert, get married and have a kid. The third season shows how Love and Joe navigate the small neighborhood suburban life. Along with Love navigating motherhood and Joe navigating fatherhood. Joe starts working at the local library, where he meets Marianne, and the cycle starts all over again. The third season ends in a cliffhanger of Joe in Paris looking for Marianne after leaving suburban life and this is hopefully where the fourth season will pick up. However, fans are none-the-wiser about how the fourth season is going to progress.
