JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, part six: Stone Ocean, premieres Dec. 1. The first 12 episodes will be available on Netflix to watch. To prepare for the new episodes, it is recommended to watch parts one through five to understand what exactly is happening.

Here is a short rundown of everything a viewer needs to know before watching Stone Ocean for those who do not have time to watch 152 episodes before Dec. 1. WARNING: There are spoilers ahead.

Part one: Phantom Blood and part two: Battle Tendency

Part one and two, though still important, will not pertain to part six very much. All you need to know is that Dio Brando started a fight with the Joestar family and turned himself into a vampire. He then stole the body of Jonathan Joestar and was not seen again until part three. Part two followed Joseph Joestar, Jonathan Joestar’s grandson. It furthered the story about vampires and how to fight them, but does not do much to the storyline of part six.

Part three: Stardust Crusaders

Jotaro Cujoh, Joseph Joestar’s grandson, continues the fight against Dio. He travels through Egypt with his crew of stand users. A stand is a manifestation of a person’s spiritual power and determination. Using their stands the Joestar group fights and defeats Dio and his band of evil stand users, saving the world from Dio’s tyranny.

Part four: Diamond is Unbreakable

While this part also does not play much of a role in the plot of part 6 other than furthering Jotaro Cujoh’s story and the lore of stands. Jotaro is now a Marine Biologist. He’s also married, and a father, though these aspects of his life are not mentioned during part four.

Part five: Golden Wind

During this part you follow the story of Giorno Giovanna, Dio’s illegitimate son.

That is all one really needs to know for this part.

Those are some of the important parts that a new JoJo fan needs to know going into part six. anyone who is interested can watch Stone Ocean on Netflix, Dec. 1.
