September 7, 2022
Calista Heiser is the new president of the Student Activity Board (SAB) for the 2022-2023 academic year. She was named over the summer and started her position in Aug. of 2022.
Calista graduated from Paris High School in 2021 and is attending Lake Land College (LLC) as an agriculture major and plans to attend Purdue after graduating LLC, to finish her degree in agriculture. During high school she was a drum major, and “anything the high school had I was in,” Calista said when talking about her high school career. In her free time, she loves “to take care of her plants, pets and enjoys anything to do with music.”
When asked about what she hopes for the future of SAB, Calista stated, “more involvement and more students at the events” hosted by SAB. She hopes that more students will sign up to join SAB and that more students will attend the weekly events to get involved. The weekly events are Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Laker Point (located in the Luther Student Center).
When asked what she plans to do as President, she said she plans to get more student involvement and make sure that outreach is good as well. Calista is a sophomore at LLC and plans to graduate with the class of 2023 in the Spring.
