See you later, Navigator!
April 30, 2022
It is so strange to think that in a few weeks I will officially be a college graduate. I have spent the past two years here trying to build my future. So as I prepare to say my goodbyes, I reflect on my time at Lake Land College (LLC).
My schooling started in the midst of a global pandemic, and it continued to affect my college experience until my last semester here. I did not experience in-person class until the summer before my sophomore year, and even then we had to social distance and wear masks. Then in my final semester, the mask mandate was lifted, and I had to participate in weekly testing.
To say that my time at LLC has been unusual is an extreme understatement. I can honestly say that I have had minimal college experience. However, for having such a minimal experience, I do have a few great memories. I have made friends in some of the classes I’ve been allowed to attend, and the clubs I have participated in (I am talking about you Shayla!). Specifically, all my art classes and the time I have spent at the Navigator. I have been honored with leading the Navigator with my Co-Managing editor/roommate/best friend, Samantha Stokes. I am so sad that I will have to leave this, but I am so excited to see what the future holds.
I want to thank LLC for educating me these past two years, and for helping me grow as a person. Without you, there would be so many interests I would be completely unaware of without your interference. Long story short, goodbye Lake Land College, and thanks for everything.
