Lake Land College (LLC) is lowering their tuition rates even further to $100 per credit hour for the fall 2022 semester. This is the lowest college tuition cost within a 230 mile radius. The lowest tuition rates are right alongside Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois with a $120 per credit hour price according to their most updated pricing. With these new prices rolling out, the average 12 credit hour workload will only cost $1,200 in tuition costs per semester, or $2,400 for an academic year.

With rates this low in the fall of 2022, there are lots of students changing their minds about staying for another semester. Of course COVID-19 has put a dampening effect on everyone’s lives, college students especially, with trying to keep bills paid. LLC is doing their part now by lowering costs so students can focus more on their education than how it is paid for. Even Eastern Illinois University (EIU) prices are $315 per credit hour. To be fair, it is a larger university, but acquiring the same amount of knowledge at LLC for a lower cost is what most students are looking forward to in the fall semester. 

This change will hopefully give more access to education and bring some more new faces to the campus next semester.
