Attention Lakers: Lake Land College (LLC)’s Inclusion and Diversity committee is hosting a spring Art Exhibition contest this month! This contest will be accepting submissions from March 1 until March 14 at the Library Circulation desk. The theme prompt for this contest is “What do Inclusion, Diversity and Equity mean to you?”

The winner of this contest will be chosen by a panel of judges at LLC. Students who win this contest will have their work displayed on campus for the rest of the semester and receive a $50 gift card! In addition to the winning prizes, the first 20 students to submit their entries also receive prizes!

The LLC Student Activity Board (SAB) will also be holding a viewing of these various artworks, so if you are less of an artist and more of an art consumer, this could be a great option to get to know our campus’s artists! The artists will also be present at this viewing to discuss their art and influences with their viewers.

This event allows students to express their artistic side through many different media! According to the LLC webpage, this contest’s entries can include “posters, drawings, paintings, sculptures, photos or writings.” However, there are restrictions on the sizes and/or resolutions of the submissions, so make sure to check out the Inclusion and Diversity committee’s webpage for more information on these guidelines, or contact them at [email protected].
