DC Films’ latest project is yet another addition to the “Batman” movies. “The Batman” will be in theaters on March 4. This show will be starring English actor Robert Pattinson as Batman. Pattinson is best known for his role in the “Twilight” saga movies and has been in the spotlight since for his now-ended long-term relationship with co star Kristen Stewart. He has also taken on several major parts in blockbuster movies since. The actor has been a high-profile celebrity for over a decade now, having been included in Forbes’ “The Celebrity 100” in 2010. 

While Pattinson is an international heartthrob, his role of Batman has been nothing short of a surprise to DC followers, and, according to Indie Wire, not necessarily a welcome one, with many fans doubting that Pattinson’s acting range includes what is required of a superhero. Director Matt Reeves has been quick to back Pattinson’s acting abilities. 

Debuting on the heels of Marvel’s latest insanely popular “Spider-man: No Way Home,” which, according to Entertainment Weekly, has grossed over $1.8 billion worldwide, the film has movie-goers wondering how the two will compare. Theaters are expected to be packed, as Box Office Pro projects the movie to gross at least $135 million in its first three days.
