The Lake Land Lady Lakers’ Softball program finished the 2025 season with a 45-20 record, including a 31-9 record in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference (GRAC). The Lady Lakers went 19-7 at home, 23-8 on the road and 3-5 at neutral sites.
The Lady Lakers opened their season with two losses on Feb. 7 in Dothan, AL as they were shut out by the Enterprise State Community College Lady Boil Weevils, 7-0, and were obliterated in the second game by the Southern Union State Community College Lady Bison, 12-4, in 5 innings.
However, the Lady Lakers won the following day on Feb. 8 in Dothan, AL as they routed the Central Alabama Community College Lady Trojans, 9-1, in 5 innings.
The Lady Lakers finished February with a 4-3 record with a doubleheader sweep of Dyersburg State Community College Lady Eagles in Dyersburg, TN by the scores of 11-6 and 10-4 in 11 innings on Feb. 24.
The Lady Lakers opened March with a four-game losing streak, getting swept in doubleheaders on consecutive days, dropping two to Jefferson College Lady Vikings at Hillsboro, MO on Mar. 1, 2-1 and 9-6 and to the Volunteer State Community College Lady Pioneers on Mar. 2 at Gallatin, TN, 5-4 and 16-9.
After concluding non-conference play with a 5-8 record, the Lady Lakers began conference play at home on Mar. 8 where they split a doubleheader against Frontier Community College Lady Bobcats, losing Game 1, 6-1 but shutting out the Bobcats, 10-0, in 5 innings.
Game 2 against Frontier began a 13-game winning streak for the Lady Lakers which ended at home in Game 1 of a doubleheader on Mar. 26 against the Olney Central College Lady Blue Knights, 5-1.
The Lady Lakers won Game 2 against the Lady Blue Knights with a 6-0 shutout. The Lady Lakers will sweep a doubleheader against Shawnee Community College on Mar. 28 and finished March with a 17-7 and an overall record of 21-10.
The Lady Lakers dominated in April with a 19-7 record, which included ten shutouts during the month with stretches of three and five consecutive games. Conversely, the Lady Lakers were shut out twice in the month. Overall, the Lady Lakers entered May with a 40-17 record.
In their final home game of the regular season on Apr. 15, the Lady Lakers split a doubleheader with the John A. Logan College Lady Volunteers, winning Game 1, 8-3 and losing Game 2, 3-2.
In their final game of the regular season on Apr. 27 at Mount Carmel, IL, the Lady Lakers split a doubleheader against the Wabash Community College Warriors, losing Game 1,11-0 and winning Game 2, 5-4, which snapped the Lady Lakers’ four-game losing streak.
The Lady Lakers were able to host the Region 24 Tournament on campus starting on May 6. They were able to win five of six games, which included splitting a doubleheader with John A. Logan College, losing Game 1, 5-1, but winning Game 2, 6-2, to win the tournament.
Unfortunately, the Lady Lakers lost their final two games of the season in the 2025 National Junior College Athletic Authority (NJCAA) Softball Tournament at Yuma, AZ.
In the first round, the Lady Lakers fell to Rose State College Lady Raiders, 3-1, placing the Lady Lakers in the elimination bracket. The Lady Lakers season concluded with a 6-5 loss to the Crowder College Lady Roughriders.
