Autumn has always been my favorite season and Halloween is my favorite holiday. Nothing makes me happier than watching the leaves change colors and enjoying the chilly weather, but of course, the best part of the season is the amazing movies.
“BRIDE OF CHUCKY” has always been one of my favorite movies to watch during the Halloween season. I watch this movie every year and I am never disappointed. The reason I love this movie so much is because not a lot of horror movies contain comedy, but for this particular movie it has so many great humorous jokes and sense. One of my favorite scenes in the movie is when Chucky’s girlfriend (after raising him back from the dead in a doll) locks him in a baby crib and proceeds to treat him like a baby. With him being about two feet tall, it is hilarious watching him try to escape.
Following this theme of comedy-oriented Halloween movies. “Ghostbusters” specifically the 2016 movie is also another favorite of mine. The original Ghostbusters movie is great but comparing a marshmallow giant to a paranormal ghost take over really just hits different. I remember when I first watched this movie in the AMC theaters and when I saw all the several types of ghosts, I was shocked in the best way possible. The scenes were so great my adrenaline spiked, and I was on the edge of my seat. This movie also had an amazing cast as the Ghostbusters including Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
Comedy is not the only kinds of Halloween movies I like though; I also like extremely horrifying movies, and that movie would be “It,” some people might think it is not scary at all but to me it is TERRIFING, but I am not talking about the first movie; I am talking about the “It Chapter Two” movie. Imagine a clown with about four rows of teeth, in a mouth opened as wide as a toilet seat popping up on an AMC theater screen. This movie was one of the creepiest movies I have ever seen, but I cannot ignore how well the movie was made.
Halloween is such a great season to enjoy all the best horror, scary and spooky movies. These were just a few of my favorite ones, but really does anyone have more than one favorite Halloween movie? I encourage everyone to write down a list of all your favorite Halloween movies, rate them and see if you can pinpoint your top three.
