Bugattis and blasphemy; Greta Thunberg vs. Andrew Tate
March 1, 2023
Greta Thunberg, notoriously known for her impact in global climate activism, claps back at Andrew Tate through a simple one-liner pun about email addresses. Tate then unnecessarily escalated the issue to a degree that’s much more serious, eventually leading to his arrest on Dec. 29.
On Dec. 27 2022, Tate publicly tweets shouting-out to Thunberg saying:
“Hello @GretaThunberg
I have 33 cars.
My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad turbo.
My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s.
This is just the start.
Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”
Along with attaching a photo of him pumping gas into one of his many cars. Internet citizens went berserk when Thunberg herself replied with “yes, please do enlighten me. email me at smalld*[email protected].” All this so-called “man” has to reply back with is “how dare you,” like a middle school girl in an argument. Digging deeper, this was Tate’s attempt at mockery but it instead backfired and made him look like a fool on the internet as always.
Tate did in fact start this internet feud himself and escalated it to a disgusting, unreasonable level. Thunberg truly cares about the planet’s well-being and all Tate can seem to care for is his wealth. The replies he retweeted and even wrote himself escalated this fight further. One that particularly sticks out to me is “She ain’t ready,” in reply to a fan saying they should make love to settle things. Even if this was a joke, it’s still horrendous to even think about sexually assaulting a teenage girl (at the time). This reply sticks out in my mind as it defines classic Tate– violent sex offender and rapist.
Once more, my opinion states that Tate continued to act unprofessionally though the online debacle. You would think a 36-year-old former kickboxer could behave like his age. Thunberg’s insults were simply the tipping point for Tate’s arrest. As her insult could’ve been much more vulgar towards Tate, his response video to her tweet is what ended up getting him arrested. All because of a pizza box; great work once again, Thunberg.
