Illinois Region 6 returns to phase 4

It was recently announced by Governor Pritzker that with a decrease in COVID-19 cases and more vaccines being administered, Region 6 of Illinois is now back in Phase 4 of the Governor’s Restore Illinois plan. With this announcement, a statement from Lake Land College’s President, Dr. Josh Bullock, was released, “This week, our region returned to Phase 4 of the Governor’s Restore Illinois Plan. The College will be suspending the Tier 3 Enhanced Mitigations implemented in November and returning to Phase 4 guidance as outlined in our current Return to Campus Plan, which is posted on our COVID-19 Staff Resources and COVID-19 Student Resources pages.”

The Phase 4 of the Return to Campus Plan are the same protocols implemented in the beginning of the fall 2020 semester. As always, you have to fill out the COVID-19 Campus Visit Screening Form before visiting campus, a mask must be worn at all times inside campus buildings and outside when six ft. social distancing can’t be retained, and a continued limit of on-campus classes and limited meetings with limited in-person attendance.

Until all regions of Illinois are in Phase 4 and qualify to enter Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois Plan, Region 6 won’t enter Phase 5. Additionally, until Illinois enters Phase 5 or Region 6 regresses into Phases 1 to 3, Lake Land College will remain in Phase 4 of the Return of Campus Plan.
