Krista Burrell named Outstanding Club Adivsor at club lunch

As an academic counselor for Lake Land College, Krista Burrell has served as the advising coordinator for the math and science division and the undecided major. Despite her busy schedule as an academic counselor for the college, Burrell finds time to serve students as the club advisor for Phi Theta Kappa. Phi Theta Kappa
is an international honorary society that concentrates on scholarship,
leadership, service, and fellowship. PTK’s numbers have grown greatly over the past couple of years.

During the annual Lake Land College Club Recognition Luncheon, there were
several awards given to approved student organizations. One of the awards that was given out went to Krista Burrell for
Outstanding Club Advisor of PTK. The recipient of this award must fit the following criteria:
strong educational role within the group, must demonstrate dedication, availability and energy
towards the motive of the club and its members.

Not only has Burrell demonstrated all of the listed tasks, but in addition Phi Theta Kappa also received the Outstanding Club Award were for the first time at Lake Land College they had reached five-star chapter status.
