Each year Lake Land College hosts a club lunch in late spring in the field house. This event promotes healthy competition and collaboration between on campus organizations. The lunch is open to all students who are a member of a Lake Land college club.
Clubs who wish to be entered in for an award must send a representative to a designated Student Government meeting to present on why their club should win. SGA then votes on the entries and they are presented at the lunch.
This year saw a change to the award structure and introduced new awards.
Future Educators of America and Early Childhood Education took home the Collaboration award.
Club IT won the Community Impact Award.
The International Student Association received the Laker Image Award.
Phi Theta Kappa took home the Outstanding Club Award, and their instructor, Krista Burrell took home the award for Outstanding Club Advisor
Pride also took home the People’s Choice award, which was voted on by the attendees of the club lunch.
