VP of Student Services Update: Search ends with unanimous vote

Following a heavily competitive and extensive search Lake Land College’s Board of Trustees came to a unanimous decision on the new Vice President of Student Services, Beth Gerl. Her appointment to this position follows 13 years at the McDaniel College in Westminster as Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students. While there her responsibilities were extensive, she oversaw residential life, conduct, student activities, health and counseling, food service, Greek Life, and many more. Before this position she worked with student services at several other colleges including, Spring Hill, University of Mount Union, Hendrix College, Wittenberg College as well as Illinois State. She received her master’s degree from Illinois State University, and her Bachelor’s from Illinois Wesleyan.

Lakers can look forward to seeing her around campus during the Spring Semester. Her official duties will begin February 1st of 2019.
