Lake Land to get new VP of Student Services

Lake Land’s current Vice President of Student Services, Tina Stovall will be retiring at the end of the Fall 2018 Semester. An ongoing search for a new Vice President has already brought the four candidates up for the position to campus. Candidates for the position include Dr. Rusty Fox, Ms. Beth Gerl, Dr. Petra Roter and Dr. David Volpe.

There has been an on-going search for these candidates since mid-summer of 2018. A Search Committee was formed to review and evaluate the many applications received for the position as well as conduct phone interviews for each of the candidates before the four finalists were chosen. The committee was made up of 11 members, those of which are: Jon Althaus, Josh Bullock, Paula Carpenter, Brandon Colvin, Bryan Gleckler, Jean Anne Grunloh, Karla Hardiek, Valerie Lynch, Megan Nelson, Jon VanDyke and Dustha Wahls.

Each of the Candidates was subject to an hour-long open interview on the following dates in the Luther Student Center Theater: Oct. 9th 10th 11th and 15th. There, faculty members, as well as students who were actively involved in student life, were asked to be in attendance and ask any questions that they had of the candidate.
