Student Activity Board launched their first event of the fall semester last Wednesday in the Field House with Welcome Day.

At the event, Lakers were able to inquire about the many different clubs that the college offers. Clubs represented at Welcome Day included Student Government Association, Student Activity Board, The Navigator News, Lake Land Ambassadors, Criminal Justice Club, Pride Club, Broadcasting Club, SWAT Club, Club IT, Future Educators of America, Phi Theta Kappa, Human Services Club and Early Childhood Education Club.

These are all organizations that students can join and are actively encouraged to participate in. In addition, clubs at the event had sign up sheets and provided information on when and where their meetings would be held. A full list of clubs can be found on the Lake Land College Student Life website and with that club advisor information for any students looking to a join a club they might have missed at Welcome Day.

Also in attendance at Welcome Day were representatives from many different services available to students like TRIO SSS, Lake Land Accounting and Payment Information, Health Services, Ride Mass Transit and the Lake Land Tutoring and Testing Center. These organizations and services provide students with useful information and resources throughout the semester.

While perusing the different Lake Land clubs, organizations and services, students enjoyed free food from Don Sol, school apparel giveaways, balloons and body art.
