Ballet Folklorico comes to Lake Land

The Lake Land Student Activity Board is hosting Ballet Folklorico Nacional, a group that performs authentic regional dances of Mexico. This free event will be held on September 19th at 11 a.m. in the theater. The Ballet Folklorico Nacional offers an exciting and eye-opening experience for Lake Land students. 

Founded in 1972, these flamboyant dancers wear lavish costumes authentic to Mexican culture. Cultural performances like Ballet Folklorico bring new cultural perspectives to campus and give students an opportunity to experience a different type of entertainment. The Ballet Folklorico can from a single performer to up to 25 performers based on the venue and what kind of performance the event host is looking for. Ballet Folklorico Nacional are based out of Wisconsin, and the organization is in its 28th season of bringing Mexican music and dance to people nationwide.
