My guilty pleasure music has to be Spanish language alternative. I am working towards fluency, and music is supposed to be really beneficial for learners. I listen mostly to Bomba Estereo, Mariel Mariel and Carla Morrison.

It’s really similar to what I listen to on a daily basis; interesting female voices accompanied by music with a good beat. The big difference for me is having no idea what they’re talking about most of the time. I don’t know why I still bother to listen to it. It’s impossible to distinguish words if it’s not in your native tongue.

I only know one song well, and that’s because it’s the same sentences repeated through the whole song. But someday when I’m fluent, I am going to be really glad I familiarized myself with music early.
