Lake Land students can expect a change in their bills starting in the summer of 2017. The college’s Board of Trustees decided, in a meeting on March 13, to maintain the current tuition costs. But there will be some changes in fees.
The online course fee, originally charged only to students who take online classes, will be absorbed into the technology fee, paid by all students. The technology fee will increase by $6.70 per credit hour. There will also be a 2.25 per cent convenience fee for credit card users starting on July 1.
Dual credit students can also expect an increase in their fees.
Tuition for in-district students is currently $102.50, $229.96 for those out of the district and $423.36 for out of state students, making Lake Land College a very affordable option.
Though many colleges have to raise tuition due to a lack of financial support from the state, Lake Land has decided to maintain tuition rates in order to keep education affordable and accessible to its students.
