On March 9, high school students will permeate Lake Land College’s Field House once again for the regional Envirothon competitions. This event tests students’ knowledge of five categories: aquatics, wildlife, forestry, soils and current events. Teams of five from each school may compete.
This event seeks to educate students on the world around them, and is especially applicable for agriculture students.
Lake Land will host the regional competition, but those who advance to state will compete against 41 other states and 4 provinces of Canada for $2,500 worth of scholarships and prizes.
