Are these genes formal?
November 1, 2016
“A gene is the basic physical and functional unit of heredity,” according to The National Institutes of Health. While it is true that black jeans can look good, they are not formal wear. Actually, we derive much from our parents, and those traits are passed to us through genes. While no one should ever tell a woman she resembles her mother in anyway, she probably does and that is thanks to those pesky genes. Unfortunately genes can also transfer disorders for instance down syndrome and Fragile X syndrome. That cute dimple and that blood clotting problem both come from genes passed from our parents. Many of these gene disorders are not curable or even treatable, but cutting edge science is working on gene therapies in the hopes that the cause could hold the cure.
